About Us

Care That Begins With Compassion

Dawning Care was created from a simple but powerful realisation: people need more than just medical support – they need time, understanding, and genuine human connection.
Our founder Sizeni Halfacre, is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years experience – who previously worked in a busy GP practice. Day after day, she met elderly patients who didn’t just need treatment – they needed someone to listen. Many were lonely, worried, or overwhelmed, but appointments were limited to just a few minutes. It was never enough time to truly care.
She knew there had to be a better way. In her own words

“We are who we are because of the love and kindness we received from those who have grown in age”.
